Topic: Health Care Fraud in Texas
Description: Fraudulent health care schemes come in many forms from providers and practitioners to members and beneficiaries. During this presentation, learn about several healthcare fraud schemes prevalent in North Texas and the outlook for 2022.
Speakers: Stephen "Scott" Ward | Qlarant | Dallas ACFE Director - Scott has spent more than 25 years investigating & conducting audits related to fraud, waste & abuse extensive experience in healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse related to Medicare and Medicaid programs. He also has experience with a major health insurance company conducting Medicare Part A audits. He earned a BA in Political Science from American Public University, is a CFE, and is an Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator (AFHI). Mr. Ward has earned awards from both the Office of Inspector General and the Director of the FBI.
Chris Mabile JD, CFE, AHFI | Qlarant | Dallas ACFE Vice President - Chris has extensive experience in project management and healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse investigations for Medicare and Medicaid. He earned a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago – JMLS. He is also a CFE and an Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator (AHFI).

Cancellation Policy and No Shows
If you have registered and/or paid for an event and you need to cancel, you MUST email info@acfesanantonio.com no later than 7 days prior to the event, unless otherwise indicated in specific event policies, to request a refund and/or cancel your registration. The Chapter must confirm event registrations with the venue within 7 days of the event and any changes after this time period can become a financial cost to the Chapter. Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to events will not be refunded except for exigent circumstances.
