Speaker: Sarah Wannarka | Assistant U.S. Attorney Western District of Texas

Bio: Sarah Wannarka, a career Texas prosecutor, has been an AUSA for 16 years with the Western District of Texas. During her career, AUSA Wannarka has prosecuted violent crime, firearms cases, and child exploitation cases. At the National PSN Conference in 2018, she received the PSN Award for Individual Contribution, highlighting her extraordinary efforts in successfully prosecuting two rival gangs in response to retaliatory shootings resulting in the death of a 4-year-old boy. AUSA Wannarka serves as the district-wide PSN and Violent Crime Coordinator. In 2012, during an 18-month detail in Kabul, Afghanistan as part of the State Department’s Rule of Law Program, AUSA Wannarka trained and mentored Afghan prosecutors and judges. AUSA Wannarka has held supervisory roles in the San Antonio and Pecos Divisions. When not working, she likes to play golf and drink red wine.

 The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, San Antonio Chapter #18 is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website:  www.nasbaregistry.org.

Cancellation Policy and No Shows

If you have registered and/or paid for an event and you need to cancel, you MUST email info@acfesanantonio.com no later than 7 days prior to the event, unless otherwise indicated in specific event policies, to request a refund and/or cancel your registration. The Chapter must confirm event registrations with the venue within 7 days of the event and any changes after this time period can become a financial cost to the Chapter. Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to events will not be refunded except for exigent circumstances.
